Baked pears are easy to make, delicious, and guaranteed to impress all your guests for the Holidays. The luxurious blend of buttery caramel, warm spices, and a hint of rum from our Haute Buttered Rum Caramel sauce makes this recipe simple to execute in no time at all.

Ingredients
- 2 ripe but firm pears (such as Bosc or Anjou)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ lemon
- Pinch of salt
- Paradigm Haute Buttered Rum
- Optional garnishes: whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt butter in a baking pan; set in the heating oven until it melts.
- Peel pears, slice in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds with a small spoon. Brush with fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
- Stir in brown sugar, a pinch of salt and 1/4 cup Haute Buttered Rum to pan with melted butter. Place pears cut-side down in the baking dish.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, then turn pears over, spoon sauce over the pears and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until tender and lightly caramelized.
- Briefly cool. Transfer pears to plates and drizzle with the buttered rum sauce from the pan. Drizzle with additional Haute Buttered Rum.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and sprinkle with nuts.
